The jet stream has been holding an area of high pressure over Europe for yonks now, but extreme hot weather is also affecting Japan very badly and parts of California if I’m not mistaken. Anyway, we’re projected to break all-time temperature records in the UK tomorrow, seemingly, possibly followed by the mother of all rainstorms.
Iceland, meanwhile, has had almost non-stop rain since April, I read somewhere; maybe on the Eastern seaboard you are — if you forgive the metaphor — in the same boat?
