Ooh, I wonder what this might be about. It’s the lack of empathy that hurts me most, the fact people can’t see that they’re hurting the NHS, that they want to at least partly privatise it, that social care is on its knees, that there are more homeless people due to the Tories policies. People believe easy lies because the truth is so much more complicated than they can be bothered to deal with.

I can’t disagree with anything you say, Lynn. I’m sad, but more than that, I’m angry, and out of anger I hope comes determination and an intention to call people to account for what they’ve done. And to show compassion to those that deserve it.

Empathy and compassion are the ingredients that are missing. I’m just hoping that the Tories try to please some of the Labour defectors and tackle some of the issues we find so important – the NHS, social care, three environment (though I have low hopes on that last one). Though of course they’ve been in power ten years and done nothing but drive these things into these ground
