try to risk a fair fight,
for you’ll freeze at first sight!
And the eyes! And the snakes in her hair!

and I cut off her head as I fought her!”

There’s something pleasantly jarring about the myth of Perseus/Medusa told through the comically lilting cadence of a limerick. Very Gorey-ish (as in Edward).
